This advance is tailored to satisfy the pressing needs of the mass commercial drivers (taxi and ‘trotro’ drivers) who as a result of factors such as sudden vehicle breakdown, rise in prices of spare parts, high cost of maintenance fees, among others, which make it difficult for the affected drivers to fill their fuel tanks. Rapidlink in collaboration with Ghana Oil Company Ltd (Goil) will secure prepaid fuel coupons in the denomination of GH¢300 and GH¢500 to lend two days renewable credit payment to GPRTU-registered drivers at the rate of 10%.
