Dr. Emmanuel Debrah, our distinguished Board Chair, brings over 12 years banking experience with an extensive knowledge and skills in various aspects of banking including Credit Appraisal/Analysis, Risk Management, Loan Recovery and Compliance, Financial Analysis/Interpretation, Financial Reporting, Sales and Customer Relationship Building, Banking Operations, General Management as well as Project Finance, Organizational Restructuring and Commodities Finance.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration from CASS European Institute of Management Studies (France) in collaboration with Ghana Communication Technology University; an MSc. in International Accounting from Göteborg University, Sweden;  an MSc. in Economics from the University of Skövde, Sweden and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Cape Coast.  Besides, he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Ghana) and a holder of Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Certificate as well as a Diploma in Theology from Kenneth Hagin’s Rhema Bible Training College, Ghana.

Before working in the financial sector, Dr. Debrah taught business courses in Regent University College of Science and Technology, Accra.  He also served as an adjunct lecturer in Ghana Communication Technology University (Takoradi campus) and on the Distance Education of the University of Education, Kumasi campus. 

Dr. Debrah is currently with the Faculty of Accounting and Finance of the University of Professional Studies as a lecturer.  His research interests are in Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Auditing and Accounting Information Quality, Financial Economics, Banking and Economic Growth and Development.
